Tower of God Review (ongoing)

My favorite pastime is reading Manga (Japanese comics), after reading over a thousand titles (not an exaggeration) One Piece remained my Top 1, in terms of story, character development and considering other factors, this was the best one, what most would call a Masterpiece. I really thought nothing could come close to One Piece not even FMA Brotherhood nor Hunter x Hunter (2011), both extremely good shounen manga/anime, that is until recently when I began to reread 'Tower of God'.

Tower of God (TOG) is a Korean webtoon by SIU, it's about the journey of a boy named Baam climbing a tower while making friends along the way. At first, I thought this would be another one of those shounen stories that gets boring halfway but this was different, it managed to remain interesting and the unique setting was unlike anything I've seen before.

The 'Tower' in the story is not a simple tower, a single floor is about the same size of a North American continent, currently there are 135 known floors but one can only climb up if they pass the test on each floor.

Most of the characters in the story are residents of the outer tower, from there they are chosen to climb the inner tower and are called regulars however there are also ones not chosen but were able to enter the tower by their own will, they are called irregulars. Irregulars are known to possess fearsome powers amd are very rare, so far only five are known including the main character.

Among the huge cast of characters, the relationship of the characters may be a bit complex but well developed especially the bond of the main three, Baam, Koon and Rak. Some side characters take the spotlight when they appear like Androssi, Yuri Zahard and Rachel, oh rachel, I can never forget that time when I was reading this on Mangahere and one panel when her face was shown was bombarded with over 300 tsukkomis, take note at that particular panel only her face was shown and nothing else.

Although, I've been reading Manga that are black and white most of the time, I adjusted real quick with Tower of God in its full color glory and can't even imagine this the other way.
The art may seem rough but not exactly bad, it's quite good and can even surprise you as some of the backgrounds can be breathtaking.

If you're looking for an epic adventure, give this one a shot.

Micaharu's Top 5 Anime

I've got a diverse taste having my Top 5 and 4 shoujo, Top 1 and 2 being shounen and Top 3 seinen.

5. Lovely Complex
Just imagine how things would work out between a short guy and tall girl? Complicated I tell you.
Lovely Complex is about accepting your differences. It teaches us how age, looks and most importantly Height doesn't matter in love. This anime has its own share of seriousness, comical facial expressions, laugh out loud moments with the characters speaking in kansai accent >o< I've read tons of shoujo manga that repeat the same situations over and over again but this one takes a different approach making the heroine unladylike which makes it refreshing to watch. ^o^

4. Ouran Koukou Host Club
Being thrown into a school full of rich, spoiled kids with prestige would seem like a nightmare for a commoner. That holds true for a certain commoner, Haruhi Fujioka who accidentally breaks an 8 million yen vase which is used to blackmail her into debt. Haruhi agrees to cross dress as a boy to act as one of the host in order to pay her debt. Hilarity ensues as the gang keeps coming up with over the top things to entertain themselves with all while keeping haruhi's gender a secret. I for one admire the animation here, fluid and vibrant (BONES Studio). the main heroine, Haruhi is not your typical heroine, she is apathetic, straightforward and doesn't care much about anything except studies, the host club members all have distinct personalities that make this a very enjoyable show to watch.

3. Clannad After Story
Before attempting to watch After Story. . Please . . bring a tissue box or two.
This is the continuation of Clannad, while the first series serves as an introduction to the individual characters and after story tackles their life after high school and through adulthood. I liked this better than the original series mainly because the saddest moments are expressed more here, especially ushio. The series' main theme 'family' makes this work more meaningful as a lot of anime about romance nowadays focus on teenage angsts. While there are other anime that can make you cry, this anime guarantees crying sessions, emotional bursts and depression take your pick.

2. One Piece
Over 600 episodes and still continues. A masterpiece which touched the hearts of kids and adults alike.
This is undoubtedly my favorite anime of all time but in terms of overall quality of the anime (pacing, length, animation) that one goes to Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood however One piece won't lose in terms of story, characterization and originality. I can only imagine the care the author poured unto this work. The only series which will make you laugh then cry the next, it has many powerful moments that leaves you at awe in how the series progresses. It was well worth my time and it somehow changed my perspective towards life, learned not to take it too seriously and just enjoy the ride.

1. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Now, This is one masterfully epic anime which certainly deserves the hype. The characters are not perfect, they have flaws, they commit mistakes, they are human. Edward and Al Elric commited a taboo in alchemy 'Human Transmutation' in order to revive their dead mother, as a result al lost his whole body while edric lost his right arm and left leg. This is about their journey to regain their bodies and the secrets of the philosoper stone. What I really love about this series is that it delivers a whole story in just 64 episodes. From start to finish it had a proper goal in mind and delivered one of the best ending I've ever seen.

The Past vs The Present (Rave vs FT)

Other than getting obsessed with One Piece, I have tons of interests to get busy with my daily life. . Drawing, Reading manga, Blogging, Studying nihongo, Watching anime, Freelancing while waiting for the day i get to go up the stage that will lead me to a bright future maybe. .  nevermind.
So let me tell you first, I was actually once an avid reader of Fairy Tail having thought it was the Most Amazing Thing Ever before encountering One Piece in 2010. My opinion changed after Fairy Tail became kind of dull after acnologia came in and literally 'destroyed' Fairy Tail, don't get me wrong i still like Fairy Tail it had the potential but lacked depth that makes it hard to sympathize with or accept any kind of seriousness (Fun, lighthearted kind of manga) Team Natsu's dynamics is still interesting to watch.

Then there was Rave Master (Hiro Mashima's prior work) though not really that great in terms of its characters and story, There was one particular arc 'The Truth of Elie' near the end that had a melodramatic plot twist which left me at awe at the masterful storytelling mashima sensei showcased. That certain scene of sieg in his remains carved deeply in my heart to this day. I wish mashima would pull off another one of a twist like that in his future works.

Online work has been popular for the past few years, many have preferred to work at home for various reasons, here are some of those reasons why people chose to do their work through the internet one reason is that they primarily have clients across the globe, personal reasons such as to spend more quality time with their family are common, to be more carefree with their time and some use it as a way to save a lot of money from transportation expenses.

There are hundreds of online sites offering work for people all over the globe however many of these are unreliable, and some of these are plain scam, but not all of them, there are those which are willing to pay for quality work even if it means outsourcing them from other countries.

Now, I introduce to you workshift, it is an Japanese online outsourcing site where clients and freelancers interact in a online business platform, people sell their skills through submitting their proposals and once a client decides on your proposed work plan,They will render your services and pay you in Japanese yen (JPY). Some of the work here require Japanese proficiency so one must be able to understand Japanese to do the work however some of the jobs require no knowledge on the said language but instead use English as a way to appeal to potential candidates from foreign countries. The pay will depend on the client and the project at hand, there are categories to which freelancers can choose from and it will depend on their ability to complete a task and to make sure the client is satisfied with their work.

Workshift is at its best in matching the skills of freelancers to the businesses who are in need of their skills.

Titan TV review - an amazing phablet

I'm sad One piece is taking a 2 week break but more importantly i really hope Oda sensei gets his health back. After all No oda means No One piece ╮(╯_╰)╭

So this time I'll be reviewing about my new phone I mean tablet well it's both and it's actually called a Phablet. you can make calls and text with it while serving as your media outlet you can even watch TV with it hence the name Titan TV and it's not a Samsung brand phone but i still love it.♥♬

it has 1GB ram combined with Jellybean 4.1.2 so i had no problems multitasking
(● 3● Opening 30 apps simuntaneously)
Still no sign of slowing down (⊙o⊙) technologies these days amaze me.
I customized the SMS background and keyboard according to my taste.
Media
I do so many things with this, like watching videos mainly One piece while on the car, playing candy crush when bored, having a nice chat with my brother using wechat and so many more.

Dual Sim & Expandable Memory
I began to realize how convenient it is to have a dual sim function, it's definitely better than carrying 2 phones all the time.
memory can be expanded up to 32GB using sd card but 8GB is enough for me to store all my photos in. Did mention it has an 8MP camera? ;)
Galaxy Tab(7 inches) Titan TV(6 inches) Galaxy y Hello kitty(3 inches)

It's sheer size may turnoff potential buyers looking for a phone as it's a bit bigger than the usual smartphones in the market. I would recommend this to those who want to do more with their phones not just for texting and calling but also for the on the go entertainment.

I forgot to mention that despite it's size It's quite light and can be held with one hand. I love how it's convenient and fast and that it's a phone and a tablet all in one.
I really have to thank my parents for this early birthday gift but I'm too shy to say it and they already know how much i appreciate it. (*^﹏^*) because I always carry my Titan TV wherever I go.

One Piece [Pirate Alliance Saga]

I have noticed so many similar themes from the first half rehashed in the current storyline.
Now, we are at the second half of One Piece entitled The Final Sea: The New World Saga. After Fishman island, The Strawhats finally enter the New World the first arc Punk Hazard brings back old characters like Trafalgar Law and Smoker and introduces Caesar and Vergo the former playing an important role for the next arc, the Dressrosa arc.
Punk Hazard is like Whiskey Peak, they are the first island the strawhats stepped upon, either in the paradise or in the new world. they weren't grand in scale like Alabasta nor as epic as Enies Lobby arc but they serve as an introductory arc that will lead to a much more bigger arc.
And that's exactly what's happening right now, Trafalgar Law proposed an alliance with the Strawhat pirates and they plan to take down one of the yonkou.
The way things turned out was beyond expectations but after analyzing a bit there were similarities that are too much to be mere coincidences, I wonder how much Oda-sensei planned all of this, Astounding!

Let's help the Princess save her country!
Whiskey Peak introduced Vivi, actually the princess of Alabasta Kingdom who wants to stop crocodile, one of the Royal Shichibukai from destroying her country.
That's quite similar to Shirahoshi, Mermaid princess of Fishman island who tried to stop Hody from taking over fishman island in the second half of the series.
Smoker was also present in Alabasta and Punk Hazard arc playing a side role.

Why expect a Moon arc?
Skypiea is an island 10,000 meters above the ground while Fishman island is 10,000 meters below the sea. Skypiea is similar to fishman island they have their own species and unique culture they are quite similar. Fishman island is the Skypiea of the 2nd half. So why do people expect a Moon arc?, it's probably because Enel, the main antagonist of the Skypiea arc went to the Moon, Oda even made a cover story series about his journey there.

Royal Shichibukai (Seven Warlords of the Sea) no more.
Donquixote Doflamingo, who was introduced 500 chapters ago only made his debut as the main antagonist of Dressrosa arc. He reliquished his title of shichibukai as per Law's demand in exchange for Caesar. Crocodile was stripped of his title for abusing his power, for nearly completing his goal of destroying Alabasta and causing civil wars between countrymen.

Hinted relations
Bellamy was introduced just before the Strawhats went to Skypiea as a cruel pirate who made fun of luffy for believing in his dreams. After he was beaten up by luffy by a single punch, he was revealed to be part of Doflamingo's crew. and now we see him again in Dressrosa as a participant in the tournament with renewed ideals.

Many people won't probably remember this but in Jaya arc, luffy was briefly seen wearing a gladiator's armor. Bellamy and Burgess were also first seen in this arc it as if foreshadowing Dressrosa arc.

MilkTea, you are my sweetest friend

This is an off topic. My current obsession with milktea has me constantly craving for it whether its Happy Lemon, gong cha or serenitea. mom says its psychological and its not that i dont believe her but I cant help it. I Love MilkTea. Its been a month since i had my first Cocoa pudding at Happy Lemon, that Cup was the catalyst for my Milktea adventure last month trying out the Bestsellers of 6 milktea shops, yup six..My MilkTea Obsession as you may call it didnt start recently, It was last year, when i passed by a shop called Loose leaf near my school and ordered a wintermelon tea, but it suddenly closed down and I completely forgot about it, that is until I coincidentaly encountered Happy Lemon during a mall trip, It was Love all over again.
